A groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start of construction for The Marisol, a high-quality senior living project in Huntington Beach, California. The Bluhm Family Foundation, a Chicago-based philanthropic organization, launched the project to meet the growing demand for senior housing options in a tightening market. Plans for The Marisol include 214 residential units, ranging from studios to two-bedroom designs and offering two levels of assisted living services as well as memory care. Amenities will feature multiple dining, recreation and outdoor options for residents. The three-story building’s modern coastal style is intended to complement its surroundings, with nearby access to shopping and proximity to the beach.
Serving as development manager, DMA will further ownership’s cost, quality and delivery goals, which include an expected project opening in 2028. Jon Ruda attended the groundbreaking event with other project team members, officials and stakeholders.
