Chicago Fire Football Club Owner and Chairman Joe Mansueto announced plans to invest in a new, open-air soccer stadium, situated in The 78, a 62-acre development in Chicago’s South Loop. The privately funded project, expected to open in Spring 2028, will create a soccer-specific stadium and entertainment district at Roosevelt and the river. The commitment by the Chicago Fire will spur additional projects within The 78, furthering the economic vitality of the city and the emergence of a vibrant neighborhood.
