As founder and former CEO of Chicago-based Morningstar, Joe Mansueto has a long history in the city. He is known for his significant charitable commitments and high-profile investments, among them, buying the Chicago Fire Major League Soccer team in 2019. Mansueto has continued to invest in Chicago real estate and development through the pandemic, purchasing the Waldorf Astoria Chicago hotel and backing The Terminal, a major redevelopment project reimagining a former industrial space in West Humboldt Park.
