Bridge, Viaduct Improvements in View
New aerial views of the Chicago Avenue Bridge and Halsted Street Viaduct show significant progress on public infrastructure projects designed to improve safety, accessibility, and multimodal connectivity across the Chicago River. Work on the Hasted Street Viaduct is expected to be completed in December 2026, and on the Chicago Avenue Bridge, in spring 2027. DMA worked closely with the Chicago Department of Transportation and Bally’s teams in planning and collaborating on these improvements, which support the success of the permanent Bally’s Chicago Casino & Resort in River West and provide broader benefits for city residents and visitors.
